Bristol, well known for its urban foxes and I remember as a kid watching the BBC footage using nocturnal cameras in the late 70s early 80s filmed in Redland?Was it a series? Anybody remember? A long time ago! Sat 28th October there is a day workshop @bristolfolkhouse then from Thursday 2nd November 10.00 until 13.00 the new six week nature journalling course begins.

Anatomy heatwave
Monday evening and continuing what is feeling like a mini heatwave had me chasing drawings travelling hover craft like off the tabletop in the slipstream of the whirring fans. Good to see a full classroom of enthusiastic souls travelling into Bristol after a very hot day. We even had a chance to look at the superb drawings of @brokensharkcage on Instagram as a well placed bit of inspiration - many thanks Duncan!

Charcoal Tones and Textures
It was great to catch up with the Urban sketching class @bristolfolkhouse this morning and a chance to build upon our studies @bristolcathedral last term with charcoal & watercolour work. Some interesting textures begin to emerge as the various "fixed" layers build up...
